Education

The last 5 years has seen a rapid growth of lasers in the classroom. Teachers tell us a class of 30 can all produce work in a single lesson, something not achievable with traditional machinery. As teachers appreciate the benefits a laser brings and they come to rely on them more and more, it is no longer unusual to see 2 or 3 machines in some schools.

A laser is a great leveller allowing students of differing abilities to produce high quality work. This is very apparent to us when we see how enthusiastically the machines are welcomed in remedial units. Difficult students soon grasp the technology, realising they can make themselves things relevant to their everyday lives. eg i-pod stands, mobile phone stands etc

Please read some of the testimonials we've received from teachers and you will see how the laser has been enthusiastically welcomed by students and teachers alike.

There are a number of different systems available ranging from very basic Chinese machines to more sophisticated European and American machines. How does the beginner decide between two seemingly similar lasers? Is the cheapest machine the best deal?

In the following sections we try to give you the information you need to make an informed choice to select the right system for your school.
